Η Κρακοβία είναι μία από τις μεγαλύτερες και πιο σημαντικές πόλεις της Πολωνίας. Η πολιτιστική της κληρονομιά συνδέεται άρρηκτα με την ομορφιά ολόκληρης της χώρας. Εκατοντάδες μικρά και μεγάλα πάρκα, παλάτια, αλλά και κτίρια με μία ιδιαίτερη αρχιτεκτονική υπάρχουν παντού στην πόλη. Πλατεία Rynek Główny
Η Rynek Główny είναι μία τεραστίων διαστάσεων πλατεία στο κέντρο της πόλης. Πρόκειται για μία πλατεία που χτίστηκε με σκοπό το εμπόριο. Στη γύρω περιοχή θα συναντήσετε παλάτια και παραδοσιακά σπίτια με πλούσια αρχιτεκτονική. Το γεγονός ότι αποτελεί το πιο κεντρικό σημείο της πόλης σε συνδυασμό με τις εκδηλώσεις που λαμβάνουν χώρα εκεί, την καθιστά το πιο κοσμικό σημείο της Κρακοβίας. Αυτό, ωστόσο, δεν πρέπει να αποθαρρύνει την επίσκεψή σας. Αποτελεί μία πανέμορφη πλατεία, γεμάτη ζωντάνια, με χρώματα και μελωδίες που προέρχονται από τους πλανόδιους μουσικούς της περιοχής.

Πάρκο Bulwar Inflancki
Το πάρκο Bulwar Inflancki δίνει μία ανάσα πνοής στην πόλη της Κρακοβίας. Καθώς οι Πολωνοί αγαπούν τους περιπάτους, το τρέξιμο και το ποδήλατο, το πάρκο αυτό είναι από τα αγαπημένα τους. Καταπράσινο, δίπλα στο ποτάμι, όποιος το επισκεφτεί νιώθει τον καθαρό αέρα να τον "χτυπά". Κατάλληλο για χαλάρωση, ηρεμία, ξεκούραση.

Κάστρο Wawel
Το κάστρο είναι ένα από τα πιο σημαντικά αξιοθέατα της Κρακοβίας. Είναι γοτθικής κατασκευής κι η αρχιτεκτονική του είναι αξιοθαύμαστη. Ήταν κάποτε η κατοικία της βασιλικής οικογένειας, ενώ πλέον έχει γίνει μουσείο, το οποίο μπορεί να επισκέπτεται το κοινό. Λειτουργεί καθημερινά 10:00 - 17:00, ενώ τις Δευτέρες δεν είναι ανοιχτό. Επειδή υπάρχει ο κίνδυνος μη διαθεσιμότητας εισιτηρίων λόγω μεγάλης ζήτησης, καλό θα ήταν να κάνετε μία προκράτηση online πριν την επίσκεψή σας.

If you are in Wawel you can see a lot of things for free, there is no use to buy ticket to the cathedral, you can see everything there and nobody will stop you.

Το πάρκο αποτελεί πηγή ζωής για την Κρακοβία. Είναι γεμάτο δέντρα και πράσινο, προσφέρει γαλήνια εικόνα στους λάτρεις της φύσης. Θα βρείτε σε αυτό πολλούς επιμέρους κήπους. Αξίζει να το επισκεφτείτε κυρίως από την άνοιξη και μετά για να γνωρίσετε την ποικιλία από τα πολύχρωμα λουλούδια. Από την άλλη, το χειμώνα είναι, επίσης, ελκυστικό, όταν το δείτε χιονισμένο, ντυμένο στα λευκά.

Ναός St. Mary's Basilica
Ο ναός της Κοιμήσεως της Θεοτόκου αποτελεί μία εκκλησία στο κέντρο της Κρακοβίας. Είναι γοτθικής κατασκευής, η οποία χρονολογείται περί τον 13ο αιώνα. Μέχρι σήμερα έχει υποστεί πολλές ανακατασκευές, αλλά εξακολουθεί να αποτελεί όλα τα χρόνια ένα ναό "πρότυπο" για το χτίσιμο κι άλλων στη χώρα. Είναι γιγαντιαίων διαστάσεων κι η ατμόσφαιρα που δημιουργεί θα λέγαμε πως είναι καθηλωτική.
